Marybeth Fennelly

Marybeth Fennelly (known to her friends and colleagues as “MB”) was born and raised in Queens, New York. She attended St. John’s University and earned her legal assistant certificate from Katharine Gibbs school in 1997. That same year, she began her career at a criminal defense firm in Queens. Always attentive to her calling to help those in need, Marybeth soon sought a role where she could make a broader impact. In 1998, she transitioned into a position at a personal injury firm in Manhattan where her compassion and commitment quickly led her to become the part-time manager of the legal staff.

In 2001, her dedication and hard work earned her an invitation from Terry McCartney to join his product liability team. This opportunity allowed her to apply her skills to serve catastrophically injured clients during their most difficult times. She now serves as the Office Manager and Senior Paralegal at McCartney Stucky LLC. For the past 25 years Marybeth has worked alongside McCartney, devoting her career to work she considers a true service to others. She is also a proud member of the New York City Paralegal Association and the Attorneys Information Exchange Group (AIEG).

Outside of her professional life, Marybeth dedicates her time to directing the youth sports program at Sacred Heart R.C. Parish in Glendale, Queens. Most weekends she can be found running day-to-day operations for multiple sports, encouraging children ages 5 through 18 to grow, excel and build confidence through teamwork, values she believes are essential to happiness and success.

Marybeth is also a devoted and proud mother of three sons – Michael, Brendan and Kieran as well as a proud grandmother (“Nana”) to her two grandchildren Juliette and Jack.

Matthew Carroll

Matthew Carroll is a dedicated paralegal with more than three years of experience supporting attorneys across a wide range of practice areas. A U.S. Army veteran with five years of service, Matthew brings discipline, focus, and a strong work ethic to every case.

He holds a B.A. in Education from Webster University and a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, giving him both strong research and organizational skills and a deep understanding of human behavior — qualities that allow him to approach his work with precision and empathy.

At McCartney Stucky, Matthew plays an integral role in trial preparation and case management, helping ensure that clients receive thorough, thoughtful, and client-focused representation.

Outside of the office, Matthew enjoys creative and outdoor pursuits, including playing violin and guitar, experimenting with new recipes, tennis, and camping. His diverse background and personal interests reflect his belief in discipline, balance, and curiosity — qualities that carry through in his support of clients and the firm’s attorneys.
